Having
practiced in south Louisiana for thirty plus years, owned and
managed three separate clinics and employed over fifteen people, Dr.
P.C. Roberts and his wife Priscilla, decided to re-locate to
southern Colorado and enjoy a slower pace of life. Both were
attracted to the mountains and the "old west" history surrounding
the area.
In December of 1999,
the couple moved to Walsenburg and have never looked back.
The first four years in southern Colorado, Dr. Roberts did mostly
a house call practice and worked on horse farms, checking mares to
be bred, ultrasounding for pregnancy and preparing mares for shipped
semen breedings.
Traveling throughout the county and working with
many of the locals, it soon became apparent that practice expansion
was needed. A building for a small animal clinic and a base of
operations for equine work was a must.
